About Earl:
Born in Dayton, Ohio, I found myself
copying pictures of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, & pretty princesses
around the age of 4. By the age of 11, I knew I wanted to be an
artist more than anything, & was thrilled when I got an oil painting
set with canvas & easel that year for Christmas. I promptly set to
work copying a Botticelli “Madonna & Child.”
After taking 3 years of graphic design
at the University of Cincinnati & then getting a degree in English
Literature, I took the long & winding road over the years through
commercial illustration & fine art. While working at the Dayton
Metro Library, I pursued my artistic goals, whenever possible, & now
that I’m semi-retired, the pursuit is full time. As an illustrator,
I have been employed by Alyson Publications, Leyland Publications, &
My Friend children’s magazine, as well as literary & erotic
magazines.
